Lucienne Samson (Lulu)

Hi and welcome. My name is Lucienne Samson but please call me Lulu. I am the artist behind BottegaLulu Cakes and I am passionate about creating delectable works of art for all events. My husband and I live in Odenton MD with our boys.  I discovered my love of cooking and especially baking at a very young age as I watched my mom and aunt churn out wonderful dishes and pastries for family and friends. The irresistible smells that wafted through the air coupled with seeing simple ingredients turned into heavenly dishes have had me hooked ever since.

When I became a stay at home mom after a career in investments and finance, I had to find something else to fill the void so I turned to my other love - cooking. Over time baking for me became incredibly therapeutic and satisfying. Even though quite taxing, baking had the ability to transport me to what I call my "happy place". Even better, I discovered that I could channel my love of creating stuff into cake decorating and creating edible works of art. Thus this wonderful journey ensued. I think nothing delights more than the sight of a beautiful cake and the wondrous stories it can tell. At BLC we love nothing more than to wow you and your guests with creations uniquely yours to cap off your events.
